Mike Halliday
Mike has over 40 years' experience working with computers from Enterprise databases, desktop / laptop applications, through tablets, mobile phones right down to microcontroller chips. He's quite at home with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as with email eg Outlook & Thunderbird. He's also a very keen Linux user and his hobbies include photography and microelectronics. Mike can help you with his many and varied computer skills - he's at the Cyber Centre on Tuesday afternoons from 2.30 pm to 5.oo pm
Chris Wood
Chris can help with Microsoft Office and with Windows in general. He can also help with Android phones. His particular hobby interests mean he can also help with the Raspberry Pi single board computer, Linux running on the Raspberry Pi, 3D modelling/printing and processing of astronomical images. Chris is at the Cyber Centre on Mondays, 9.30 am to 12.00 noon
Fiona Matthews (Secretary)
Fiona is a very experienced user of the internet who can offer help and support for people using the internet/ emails/ word documents, and can also offer help with using tablets and smartphones. Her session is on Wednesday 9.30 am - 12.00 noon
Lesley Elliott
Lesley is very experienced with all Microsoft Office applications including: making flyers/posters, completing forms and applications, preparing PowerPoint presentations, drawing, image manipulation and writing various texts. She can support you with internet searches, sending emails and other general usage. Lesley can also assist you with using your Android smartphones, plus tablets and laptops. Her session is on Wednesday afternoons from 2.30 pm - 5.00 pm
Nigel Minnis (Techno Buddy)
Nigel is a very experienced user of the internet and of Microsoft Office - he's a 'Family Trees' expert as well as a 'Photo Manipulation' expert - he can also offer minor laptop repairs as well as PC & printer maintenance - His sessions are 2.30 pm - 5.00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday (will do home visits)
FAMILY TREES - "One of my hobbies is helping people with their family trees, and I'm sure I can help you. We have access to 'Find my Past', 'Ancestry', 'FreeBMD' and 'Family Search'. The Family Tree we create can be stored in two ways, one is on 'Family Tree Maker' and the other is as an A3 Wall Chart. Doing your family tree is addictive, but so interesting and informative. e.g. my GGG-Grandfather gave us the trench coat in WW1. If you are interested, then please call in and see me, and we can discuss it further"

Allen Roochove (Treasurer/ Techno Buddy)
Allen is a very experienced user of the internet and a very keen user of 'Microsoft Office 365'. Amongst other things, his interests include PC maintenance, using Android Tablets as well as Android Smartphones. He has a basic knowledge of Apple iPhones & iPads and is the current Webmaster - his session is on Wednesday at 2.30 pm - 5.00 pm (will do home visits).
Margaret Frostick
Margaret
is very experienced working online: filling in forms, sending applications,
finding information, analysing data, preparing presentations and writing
texts.
She is delighted to offer help with Microsoft
Office, email and surfing the internet.
Her sessions are on Thursday and Friday
mornings from 10.00 am - 12.00 noon

He is also a regular user of LINUX, a 'free' alternative to Windows, and he'd love to show you how to use it!
